Year 6

In six years you can learn a lot about each other and more importantly about yourself.

A few words that came to mind when thinking about our relationship:

Patience. Kindness. Forgiveness. Adventures. Comfy.
Happy. Funny. Imaginative. Spontaneous.
Nostalgic. Silly. Open. Optimistic. Sly.
Brave. Inspired. Love.

September 2005

Just incase any of you wondered what we looked like six years ago.

Alex is 3

Alex turned 3 earlier this month. It seems like just yesterday we were awaiting your arrival.

You are loved unconditionally by so many people.

Look at the cake Jess created! Amazing!

Argh! Alex pretending he is a dinosaur while devouring into his cake.

Binoculars! What a cool birthday gift!

We Are Fair People

We are Fair People. We love fairs. What more can I say?

Auntie

Also in August, Auntie came to visit.

She travels visiting family members around the country... I am pretty sure she has earned enough sky miles to travel from here to Asia and back at least three times!

Always a good time when she comes to town.

Did not want to exclude Lucy....

Then Peabody felt neglected and wanted his own photo....

So he got one!

And yes as you can see, Auntie insisted on changing into three different outfits!

Loves her!

Hanging Loose

So I mentioned that during my time off I was going to do get lots of R&R, visit with neglected friends, and hang out at the beach.

I am proud to say that each of these things were successfully accomplished.

Let's catch a wave!

Of course summers should be filled with bonfires!

Can you say well done?

S'mores!

Forgot to take pictures of the R&R(maybe because I was resting and relaxing) at Glen Ivy Spa (Corona, Ca) where Lana and I spent a day soaking up the sun, bathing in mineral water, and having cocktails poolside.  Gals and guys, this is highly recommended!

K

K is for Kindergarten

During my month off from school I worked. They say that when you love what you do, you never really work a day in your life.

As supplemental income while finishing grad school, I substitute teach.

By far, kindergarten is my favorite.

Cutting and pasting is a lot more challenging with 25 five-year olds.

And this is what my desk looks like by the end of the day... and I am ready to do it all over again tomorrow.

2 in 1

As many of you have read in a post earlier this year, I had the chance to go to Hawaii in March. Well, I had an opportunity to go again in August during my time off from school. This time it was just me and dad. :)

Hawaii twice in one year.

It does not get any better than this.

Getting ready to land.
